Welcome home.

Would it be too much to hope that our brave lads and lasses will be properly looked after by future governments?

My manifesto for our troops would ensure that the family of any of our armed forces killed in action would be well looked after. They would have top priority for a council house or helped to buy. Their widowed spouse would be entitled to a decent pension until they breathe their last themselves. Any children they have would be entitled to the same help with housing and both children and spouses have access to free higher education including university.

All of the above would also apply to those suffering disability as a result of being wounded in action plus employers being encouraged to prioritise the wounded for suitable jobs.

And if we insist on sending our sons and daughters to war on our behalf the LEAST we can do is make sure they’re PROPERLY EQUIPPED.

But I don’t really expect any of that will come to pass, do you?

But what about the refugees and illegals ? not to mention them that won’t get out of bed. Surely they come before anyone that’s gone out and fought with the British Army.
