Here is a bit of a story about me. I come from the Derby/Notts area. Well after working in several warehouse and not really getting much satisfaction out of it i thought of following my dads footsteps and become a HGV driver. Well after some saving and working in a warehouse for NHS Logistics i got enough together to train with Sterling which Nottingham branch was the nearest for me. So booked a course which inc the theory test ad a offer if i past me C license the 1st time to take my CPC and pass that then i would get a class 1 course for free so decided to go with that. Anywho i managed to past my cat C 1st time with 6 minors which i was chuffed about but a bit indecisive about how hard it will be for my CPC?
But anyway for now i asked the transport manager at my place of work if they took on new drivers which she replied yes if you manage alright on a driving assessment which i did fine on and she offered me the job there and then in September which is who i have been diving for since just there rigid M.A.N’s but am enjoying it but would like to do more distance and get into a artic
Right ive rabbited on long enough time to leave a space for you guys
I enrolled on the same course, I am actually looking forward to the CPC, I may want to run my own trucks one day. Best of luck with it, when I get the CPC books I am more than happy to mull 'em over with you.
