Am i correct in saying that this vehicle’s maximum train weight is 29.5 tonnes? Its a 6 wheel rigid with a tandem axel drawbar with 2 9 tonne axels.

I’m going to ask about it tomorrow as they think it can go upto 40,000, but i’m not happy with it.

I’d say that legally it’s 29500kgs but the plate doesn’t take into account the drawbar coupling. The 3500kg towable weight must relate to a towball type affair.
Maybe they’ve done a Swansea job on the replacemnt plate and forgotten about something that was there originally.

was the drawbar hitch fitted after it was plated, if so I think they should have taken it to a test centre to get the plate altered ( as you said a 6 wheeler and a twin axle trailer should be able to go to 40t ( assuming it’s got air suspension)
mine looks like this ( and I’ve just spotted a mistake on it ! )
It is out of plate anyway. So when they book it in for test it will be sorted!
