Hiya all, (dunno if this is the right place, if it aint, any mods move it!) I went over Stoke to see the surgeon/specialist last Thursday, and the good news is that Im due for the operation in 3-4 months. Also he reckons im ok for light work, so Ive got the feelers out. The condition of the old ticker is a bit worse than they thought, and Im getting the full m.o.t and having the 5 bypassed, but since he said I was OK for work, I think things are looking good!

Hi Mal, that is good news, my father in law had a triple by pass 2 years ago and now feels like a new man, it has done him the world of good. Had his eyes done as well and is now commenting that he wants to trade the wife in for three twenty year olds considering that he is feeling like he’s 20 now(ha ha)

Hi Mal thats about the best bit of news ive heard in ages..its made my christmas..so i guess youll be back at full speed in no time…well done…cant say the same for myself though…ive been laid up with a bad back..i think it s a trapped nerve.had it for years on and off..and was told years ago that they cant operate..but a few days in bed with good pain killers normally does the trick..only problem is i tend to walk like quasimodo for a while till i can straighten up..i often say to my mates lend us a quid till i get straight..but it aint no laughing matter really..ill survive though…
