NO not like a car but the same as a Goods vehicles
(not exceeding 7.5 tonnes maximum laden weight) I.E.

50 on a single carriageway not 60 like a car,

60 on a dual carriageway not 70 like a car,

But yes 70 on a motorway, some of the cameras will pick you up doing more than 50 on a single or dual carriageway so watch your derriere!!.

My brother got a ticket in a 7.5 tonner on the A1 north of Berwick for doing 60 he thought he could do the same speed as a car until he got the 3 points.

According to that page from the Highway Code the limit for a commercial vehicle not exceeding 7.5 tonnes is 60 on a dual carriageway. That is my understanding. This is anything from a non car derived van upwards.
