Just wondered if anyone on here uses a microwave and inverter combination and if so where did you get them from. Also is the inverter wired straight to the battery or can you wire it into the fuse box somehow? Reason I ask is that this way works out alot cheaper than the samsung roadmate will at £450. Cheers
we got this set up inverter fitted by merc wired straight to the battery and a cheap microwave double socket in cab should be standard in all truck in this day and age.
I have this set up in all three of my trucks, 2000 watt inverter wired straight to battery ( fused) then a twin socket in the cab runs cheap microwave perfectly. Also run a TV off it to and charge laptop etc. Just remember that some appliances have a start up surge so we only use 1000 watt appliances saves running inverter at maxium.
