Curtainsider thank you all ive printed al the advice. cheers

can any one please run through the opening and closing of a curtainsider please. cheers kev ie from start to finish ?

Depends on make.

Undo buckles, release tension and open the sides.

Close sides tension the curtains and fasten buckles

There was a pic on this site somewhere but I can’t find it - not sure if, along with the pic, an explanation was done

There are many different types but they all operate in basically the same way, it’s hard to explain without pics but I’ll have a go.
Let the buckles go then walk to each end an take the tension off by letting the ratchet tensioners go.
Once the tension is off go to each end and lift the poles up off the square spigots.
If you want to open them at the back, walk to the front grab the third or fourth buckle and start pulling then pull every sixth or seventh buckle until fully open.
Closing them is just the reverse of this procedure.
If you’re not sure just ask someone

Squarenogs, there are lots of posts about this. Do a search.

:open_mouth: :open_mouth:    WTF?

And a very comprehensive reply from DervDave too. Is this Squannogs some kind of wind-up merchant or what? There seems to be a lot on here just recently. :open_mouth:

He’s probably an illegal waiting to take his chances on the other side of the channel.
His next question will be “how do you tension the curtains from inside of the trailer”

Ive just posted on the NEW AND WANNABIES part of the forum about a Truckers` Handbook. It contains the very info you are looking for and much much more!!!

Check it out, it may help you more than you think!!!

Least he took Lucy’s advice from the last thread on Containers and said thankyou for the info.

Why it takes 3 posts to ask about curtains I’m not sure
