Makes as much sense as the South Sea Island bottled water, we used to take from the UK to South of France.

May I ask the origin of this water from southern islands?

The boxes had something about the water originating in volcanic South Sea Islands. I can’t remember exactly. Picked up at Heathrow!
Insanity.
.
Edit to add
Purple and pink packaging.

Exported bottled water is a bone of contention around where I live, hence why I ask.

But yeah, water bottled in the south pacific, air freighted to the UK to be loaded onto a truck and driven across continetal Europe.

Sheer madness of epic proportions.

Possibly Fiji Water I moved?
In 2010 over 15million litres ? (Wikipedia) per month…15,000 tons of bottled water shipped out of the Pacific every month…
I can’t see more up to date figures.
