Steve, I commented earlier on Pats thread. You will be happy with the Volvo, in my opinion the best off the shelf motor in North America.
The 2018 models are cracking and they finally have a Globetrotter version. I have driven many here from N14 525 Celect , M11s to ISX 15l and now ISX15l SCR, 11l and 13l Volvos and 12.7l Detroit. The 13l with the I-Shift is top shelf! They handle and ride superbly.
My cousin and I had a f86 and F88 in the U.K. I was just 21, thought I was king of the road.

Is the content of Harry Lawson’s tankers similar to William Lawson’s?

Thanks to stevejones, Pennineman and Buzzer for the pics

That’s a great picture of the 141 hounding it out of Eastern Docks to go up Jubilee Way that Buzzer posted… There are lots of pictures of people pushing it there to try and get a bit of a start at the hill, probably done it myself, but I wonder if anybody ever pushed it just that bit too far and flipped it there?

David

Hi Buzzer, Your photo with the guy sitting on his horse drawn flat wagon could be the one who rode round my home town but he had a two wheeled cart and the fact that your pic appears to have been taken in Leicester 200 miles south. Looks like his mate is following on behind with the living accommodation. The bus is a Leicester Corporation six wheeled AEC Renown with Northern Counties body, not the best looking bus around at that time.
Cheers, Leyland 600.

Hi Froggy, NXP ■■■ was a London registration used throughout 1953, the AEC Mammoth Major would probably have been painted all over green being in the parcels division of BR.
Cheers, Leyland 600
