Update , saw the surgeon yesterday and surgery is set for 27th of. this month . Not looking forward to it but the alternative ain’t a good idea . The surgeon said to the wife that It will be a long recovery and I would need to take it easy for a while . Her reply was on the lines of " nothing new there then " . With a bit of groaning at appropriate times I should be able to spin this out until xmas . Many thanks for all your good wishes everyone , Dave
