Asda Cribbs Causeway

New signage appearing in the car park. HGV banned from parking again. £70 fine.

Not surprised it’s getting out of hand and resembles a truck stop most of the time plus there’s always motor homes parked there too.

Was going to say it looks like Thurrock services with added travelling communities thrown in so in really not surprised. Theres a difference between popping in for some supplies and parking up for days on end

Some of those motor homes are parked there permanently not sure they’ll be road legal !!

Maybe they should have charged a tenner per night parking, instead of telling customers who drive trucks they are not wanted. :unamused:
I can see their point if there are trucks parked days on end, (and of course you ■■■■ s who spoil things for others by leaving your mess :imp: ) but some of these supermarket parks are handy to park up, stock up your fridge, get a half decent meal, and use the bog in the morning.
They should capitalise on it instead of alienating a section of their customers.

In fairness some nights it was rammed there, which from anyone’s point of view is a risk when you have trucks and cars mingling, and if Asda are seen to be condoning it it then turns into their fault when an incident occurs.

The root cause is the fact there are so few places to park up for the night locally. The reason for that is a completely different discussion…
