update on this accident

it now transpires that the crane was lifting a box with 30 tons inside that had not been released from the locks. the crane driver gave it some wellie and this is the result. a internal enquiery is now under way as to why the southampton dock unloading teams instucted a box to be lifted that had not been unsecured ■■?

this info has come from deep within soton docks as did the photos :laughing: :wink: :wink:

So there’s actually nothing wrong with the cranes at all then and no reason for them to be shut down. :unamused:

they are not shut down rob. 7 are working yesterday and today. normally 8. obvious why one is not working :unamused: :unamused:

Yes but they shut them all down before and clearly there was no need.

That gave the HSE bods time to scramble and get the hard hats hi viz and clipboards out …
