Good God Almighty! Just read the post on transport news about the wagon that was overloaded on the rear axle by 71%! One for the Traffic Commisioner I think and I hope the firm is put out of business and the driver(?)has his licence removed PERMANENTLY! 
Is this a bit of reporting like the ton up truckers? Made to read like its all HGVs, but more likely to be a large proportion of vans. Especially to get 70% overloaded on one axle. I think that would be about 18 tonnes on an artic.
However I do agree that overloaded is not an oversight, it’s criminal.
70% looks about right for the vans running out of our local newspaper distribution depot, never seen any sign of official unhappiness here thougth.
