I have just had a mate call and ask if I knew what the following warning light meant. He said it is a red one with a vertical line that is repeted and falling over - may also have the letters MRL on it. The wagon is an older 7.5t Merc. I seem to remember this type of light being something to do with the Gearbox on bigger mercs. Anyone got any ideas please!!!
I have no idea what that is, but if it’s red I’d pull over 
Warning lights are getting confusing these days. You shouldn’t have to get the handbook out just to find out what’s wrong!!
Seen it on loads of them I’ve driven. Looks like a concertina. Alot of them even had tape put over it. I’ve never had a lorry break down where I’ve had it lit. At one point, virtually every Merc with an EPS gearbox would have it lit.
its the rev limiter m8 i only found out after i found the handbook in the twin to my wagon
they come on when ever they like i get it on even with the engine off
