Hi all
I had a truck the other day that half way through the shift I had a warning light start to flash.
It is probably to do with the brakes. Rang the office and told them. They got someone to ring me back and I explained to them what the light looked like but they said to just carry on. I had no problems that I could feel so did as was told.
The lamp lit was yellow. flashed every 3 secs approx.
So imagine a circle and on the right hand side half way down on the circle there is the arrow pointing down. there is a line that come before the circle that bends in line with the circle. so something like " (0 " - so on the “0” there is a arrow on the right hand side half way down.
hope i have made that clear, lol.
anyone know what it means. have tried google but having problems finding anything.
Truck make and model would help as well

I didnt pay attention to the make/model. I just thought it was a standard thing in most trucks.
Sounds like the ADDS mate.

i have no idea what that means. is that something to do with the brakes?

You don’t know what the make of the truck you were driving?
Scalia, Volvo, daf, MAN
Agency Driver Detection System.
The truck will smash itself to pieces to save you the bother.
From the description I would guess at possibly a brake shoe wear warning light, but that is purely a guess.
To be honest I’m a bit surprised you don’t know what make lorry you was driving, that’s a bit unusual I would have thought.
I can only hope that you are winding us up because you are the same op who’s just put diesel in the ad blue tank.
If this isn’t a wind up and you’re seriously telling us you have now been given a truck to drive by a company and at no point did you take any notice of what the make of the truck was then I’m going to suggest you either buck your ideas up or for everyone’s sake give up driving trucks before you do someone some serious harm!!’
It’s quite clear you are not paying any attention to what you are doing and in this game that’s dangerous!
You are certainly not someone I would want working for me and to be honest I wouldn’t like to meet you on the road!

Didnt realise it was part of the driving test to have to know what vehicle it is before being able to drive it!!
Have driven 4 different trucks. I dont need to know what it is - just to know how to drive them.
Just wanted to know about the warning lamp, thanks
Do me a favour mate, just don’t post anything else for 10 mins. (Just nipping out for some more popcorn).
This thread has all the hallmarks of a cracker…

Well I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt and say that you are obviously trying to wind us up because I’ve seen some things but never heard of a driver saying they don’t know what the make of the lorry was that they have spent all day driving!!
Went out with a Scania.
Stopped for a brew cam out got into a truck drove to some place
Told them the whole load was for them .
Sainsburys don’t sale concrete beams.
Walked back to truck drove back to cafe had break came out got back into truck Scania and drove back to yard …
God knows where I’ve left me car or was it bike , sod it I’ll walk home
When you’ve got a problem with a truck, it makes life easier to know what you’re driving.
Hey Lifestartsat40, you weren’t driving a low loader, carrying a 360’ down the Hard Shoulder of the M20 earlier today by any chance, were you ?
Did it have a steering wheel? If so did it have any words on it?

Stranger things have happened Nick, I had half a dozen pallets of Whisky for Morrisons on board once & a few pallets of Pet Products for Pets at home, delivered to Pets at Home first, got handed my keys, pulled off the bay, went to close the doors & they had taken the Whisky off as well !!!
The Poleski’s didn’t see the humour when I asked them “Which pets drank Whisky” & would they mind putting the pallets back on so I could deliver them to Morr’on’isons. [emoji1]
Wonder if it was the “limpet at the wheel” warning light?
