Hello all.
I want to change the headunit in my Volvo FM and add some rear speakers as mine didn’t come with any and I’ve got a couple of questions…
I’ve read on another post that a new headunit (of which is yet to be chosen) should just plug straight into the existing loom plugs of the lorry as mine is an 57 reg, but then I’ve also read elswhere that Volvo’s don’t come with standard type plugs, which of these is correct??
And looking at the existing plugs into the back of the headunit, the brown speakers plug has already got 8 wires already, leading me to believe that the wiring for rear speakers is there already, but does anyone know where they would be hidden?? Just thought I’d ask before I start pulling out all my interior apart.
And finally, what is the colour codes for the speakers?? The colours I’ve got as speaker wires are:-
Y/BL G Y Y/BR
G/BL BR BR G/BL
Any help would be much appreciated
