Had a quick look with no results, looking to see where I can rent a tractor unit & trailer from in the London area?
Needed for the beginning of June, any suggestions are appreciated.
Would rather not take a tractor unit all the way from Glasgow, Unless anyone needs something shifted from Glasgow - London first couple days in June?
Dunno whether they do trailers but if our unit goes ■■■■ up and we need one for a day or two we get one from Tavern hire in Maldon, Essex. It’s roughly 35 miles from London and their gear is usable.
When I used to have a truck from BRS it was always serviced in their yard at West Thurrock and there was always stacks of units parked in there, I got the impression that they were available for shortish time hire. But I could be wrong, in fact I think it happened once. 
Try Scania truck rental - they have places at Heathrow & Purfleet , they usually have loads of tractor units kicking about.
