Hi, for a project I am doing, I am needing a list of Truck makes and models. If anyone has something like this (especially if in a spreadsheet!) I would be most grateful.
I am looking for both UK, US and Australian trucks in particular, but any others are welcome.
I presume you missed the later DAF’s because there’s a 480 CF 85 and a 380 XF 95. There’s quite a few 3 series Scanias missing too. Also a few Volvos, FH16 520 / 550 for instance, and the FL 12 420.
The smaller ones and the ERf’s and Ivecos I’ve no idea, luckily
I’m sure there was a 360 4 series for a brief period.
I have now added
FH16 520
FH16 550
FL12 420
for Volvos as you mentioned and
480 CF 85
380 XF 95
for DAF.
I am not surprised that some are missed off, I am having to gather this info from endless websites and many of them display model numbers in different formats as well!
So if you can spot any others, please assume I am a numpty and tell me!
Restrictions? I guess models over the last 10-15 years to current day. It is not the end of the world if some very rare and esoteric model is missed off - I guess I am really after the mainstay of the trucks in the real world.
I owe you a virtual pint
PS, what are the models for the “360 4 series” (and which manufacturer was it - doh!)
The new Volvo models which are starting to appear are just either FM or FH followed by the engine size. No more number after the FH for engine size in litres, I think it is because the new engine for the FH is 13 litres and maybe people would be funny about having 13 on their truck.
143 R420
143 R450
143 R470
143 R500 Anyone confirm the 14 litre 3 series engines ?
114 P360
114 R360
1?4 R380 (I don’t know the engine litreage - hence the question mark )
( I hope I’m right with those, ready to be corrected)
Volvo FH 16 610 (Their Flagship)
I think your entry Scania 96 -144 is an error
Technically, if it were me. I’d add the DAF CF 85 seperately ( different model to the ‘85’ there were 380 430 480. The there were the CF 75 versions I’m not too sure about those but I think there’s a 310 340 360etc.
Same goes for the 95 later one XF 95 same engine sizes I think apart from the 400.
No I do mean UK, but as in trucks generally used here by UK firms, not manufactured here.
DAFMAD,
thanks for your help, I will add these to the list. I will check up on the Scanny 96-144, it may have been a typo. I shall investigate the CF/XF range - thanks for the pointers.
HairyGorilla,
oh no I didn’t (its panto season). However, I did forget to add it to my post! Here ya go (for what its worth).
