Hi all just wondering if anyone knows of any old rusting DAF 2800’s or 3300’s that need saving anywhere around the UK? as im desperate to get hold of one for restoration
(P. S ONE I AM DESPRATE TO FIND IS MY NOW DEPARTED DAD’S OLD DAF 2800 IT WAS A 6X2 SLEEPER CAB REG D445 TMW BELONGED TO G.H MARTIN AND SON OF CORSHAM WILTSHIRE BEFORE THEY SOLD IT) all DVLA could tell me is that it is still in the UK and hasent been scraped yet but is also NOT on the road!!!

I have quite afew contacts exporters , scrapmen ect so ill keep my ears open. A lot of them went for export a few years ago you could get good money for em in any condition. I use to run 2 / 2800 a 3300 and a 2100 4 wheeler, good simple moter could fix em with a pair of pliers and alump of strong wire.
Hiya their’s two for sale in holland at the moment with like new cabs BUT the’re 6x6 things.
their’s one thing its easier to change the axle configuration than spend 3 years patching up a rusty cab.
if you really have the time and money sort one of them out.

That one is spot on for the sort of thing im looking for do you know who owns it and where it is?
also you wouldent happen to have anymore pic would you and do you know if it is a ridged or a unit ect ect?
will admit not shore about the spacecab convershion on her but still a dream lorry to me

a couple of years back I was delivering a car to a specialist restorer, anyway we got talking and in the corner was a lorry with a tarp over it, when I asked what it was, it turned out to be a partly restored DAF 2800, the guy said that them man who owned it had lost interest in it. anyway it was at a place called TSM or something along those lines in Newcastle u Lyme, don’t know if it might still be there.

Hiya …Iv’'e had a message back the green 2800 has now gone, there’s a 2500 but only with a daycab
