How do you tell if a Scania R 480 is a V8? (apart from the obvious V8 decals)

The engine note would instantly give it away but all the Scania 480s are V8s anyway so it does indeed seem to be a rather stupid question.

I think they were Rob. The 4 series had a V8 460, 6 pot 470 and V8 480 then they jumped to the V8 530.

And the front fog lights are on regardless of the weather and the driver is wearing sunglasses also regardless of the weather.
Just buy a little V8 stick on badge from ebay and anything can be a V8.
