I read a book a few years ago about Edward Stobart’s beginning’s in haulage and interestingly he had to elbow his way into Metal Box in spite of Robson’s opposition.

I have wonderful memories of them when I was a kid sat at the side of the A1 at Wetherby watching trucks.
