Potential new Trucker

Hello mate. Much of the advice you’ve been given is 100% Yes, it’s tough out there and no sign of it getting better short term. Can I just add a word of warning. Career Dev Loans are not usable at any school of your choice. There is a complicated system to be able to access this funding. Plenty of very good trainers will not be able to use this facility. There are schools that offer competitive finance schemes - have a look at those. I’m not talking about those with silly interest rates - - you’ll find them quick enough if you check. Also beware of guaranteed pass. I’ve only been training 30+ years but I can tell you there’s no such thing. How can there be? Someone, somewhere is paying. Guess who?? Some, like me, will give a modest incentive such as free use of truck for a 2nd test if you need it. But work towards a first time pass with a good traineer and it all becomes irrelevant. Very best of luck with your search.

BEFORE you book your training, READ THIS… - I suggest the trainee-to-be visits the training school, meets the head person(s) and has a quick look at the truck BEFORE parting with any money.

Using the site Search facility and putting the words TRAINING AND WHERE you wish to train may turn up some recommendations.
