This programme is on now showing how they target commercial vehicles, its on ITV4 but I don’t have a link to it. It’s following ‘Operation Mermaid’ allegedly targetting foreign trucks and white van man as well, If I can find a link I will post it later. They seem to be getting on the case of our American Cousins as well

To the letter of the law,the Police and VOSA are obviously right but when they find a problem they certainly over dramatise it for the cameras…
They’ve just stopped a 5 axle artic weighing 43t and the narrator said the Police have just overted a major accident because,“Being overweight on the ‘pin’,the trailer may breakaway from the unit!”
Like he knows what the pin is!
