Ok fellas , still haven’t ruled out a Hino but really would like another MAN 8x4 . I have only had the older shape cab which runs to about 2005 . In the newer shape are there any to avoid or do any models have particular faults ? I will be able to afford only early ones 2005/2006 .

My firm has 3 06 and 07 reg but roll on offs. Not a bad motor pull well good on fuel no major faults but they do like flashing up fault codes on dash and the build quality in the cab feels a bit flimsy compared to the old f2000 models.
Only thing is the d20 engine uses a special oil that ain’t cheap and some people use normal oil and these ones seem to expire at the 4-500.000km mark.
