been stationary for 20 mins now. Just wondering if any of you are stuck too. Im in a 7.5 tonner with pfb hire all over it. Btw its 4.30 am atm

just heard it involves a truck and a biker. M1 south now closed. Hope no fatalities. Now not moved for over 1 hour

i.vet just set off from rugby at 6.30 and the m1 is closed from j18.

I passed this around 6.30 pm going north. The traffic was moving past pretty slowly, still long tailbacks.
There were 2 cars & an artic + recovery vehicles on the hard shoulder but couldn’t see a bike… course the bike could have been moved already.
just got back in. spent 3 hours total sat in the aftermath of the accident.
i was about 5 miles north of J16 so was fairly near the front of the ‘queue’
didnt take long after the wrecker went down the hard shoulder to the time we actually set off moving again.
Phoned the TM at our place to let em know i would be late doing my drops for today. dont think the night and day shift communicate with each other as i was getting calls every 20 mins asking why i hadnt done my drops yet when i usually am done by 8.30 am and ready to come back up the M1 .
