In rememberance of drivers

These photos are of a dear friend of my fathers, Rob “Grandad” Andrews.

Rob died at the age of 94.
The funeral took place at St johns church harpenden on May 4th 2007

Rob was a great friend to many people and will be sadly missed by is family and friends.

The Foden in the pictures is driven by Barry Dancer and with help from Fred Luck was fully restored to its original splender and in the colours of Saunders of Harpenden, who incidentally Rob work for as a mechanic and driver for many many years.

Rest in Peace Grandad.

And needed, a bobtail unit, especially a Chinese 6, if there any bumps in the road at all along the way.

A fitting last journey for an old stager, on a very nice Mickey Mouse, wouldn’t object to it myself.

What a beautiful send off for a retired trucker…ONE OF US…and soon driving that great route in to the unknown…rest in peace…

Thats one way to go.

I think he would have preferred a nice tidy roping job with perfect dollies instead of them new fangell straps though :stuck_out_tongue:

I think there must be an opening there, it works with motorcycle funerals
