Happy Christmas!

Its been a funny year. I’ve spent more than the last ten on agency, and now have a full time job, so i consider myself quite lucky. My company have had a few complaints recently about the amount of dust from the site, so the docks company send a sweeper round to help clear it up…

There’s a certain irony, i hope its not wasted on you. Not as funny as getting home knackered one night, cracking open the whiskey only to find your favourite comedian is on TV, and what can be better than that? Well, a little guy in the corner of the screen who does the hand movements for the deaf people !! I spent the evening rolling round the floor like a ten year old with a fit !!

I’ve certainley been all over the place this year. From Peterheadto Portland Bill.

“how long will you be at Portland Bill Mick?”, five minutes boss, they’re keeping the box. They’ve hired a crane to take it off !!
It is a funny time though, lots are coming out of work and being made redundant. There are no more trains like this running into Seaforth docks…

Its probably because of lazy British workers, but what ever it is there is plenty out of work this year and possibly losing their homes. Tough luck guys, i been there and done that. Anyway, my freezers full and i have all my booze in so it can’t be that bad !!
Some people don;t know where their next few bob is coming from, but i’ve spotted mine. If i come out of work i reckon i’ll get 12 months on the sick with a bad back if i fall down this hole in Keele services of a night when its dark and unlit

I was suprised to read here that some people are not happy to wish well to the guys fighting out in Iraq and Afghanistan. They all deserve our support of course. Even more so a christmas. Me and some of the guys from my local boozer have organised a fund and petition to get two of our mates home this year for christmas. We want Billy and Tommy back home with us to enjoy a pint. If anyone wants to contribute financially or sign the petition you can contact me by PM. Here they are…

(thats Tommy on the fone to me, not whilst i’m driving obviously !!)

Meanwhile , i’m off work until the 5th of Jan , so i’ve parked it up in the yard. Not sure if anyone is planning on going out in it…

But just incase… it hasn’t been washed for a fortnight, i left some work clothes scattered about in it, i filled two lemonade bottles up with cold diluted tea in the cab and i didn’t fill it up with derv or adblue. And also left some old news papers scattered about in it. I reckon mine will be the last to get used !
Anyway, now i get to ask one of them dumb questions…what do you do when you have a pot full of money and you’re off work for over a fortnight and all your kids are grown up and you have no mortgage to pay?
Happy Christmas everyone by the way !!!
