I have been told today as from the 1st of April this year they are scrapping charges for the “o” licence. Still need the required amount of available funds but no actual charge for licence as they are upping the test fee costs.
Nice bonus if like me your starting up on your own. 
I think they’re dropping the “per vehicle” costs but there will still be an application fee and a fee at the 5 yearly renewal. Plus the fees they abolished have just been added to the annual test anyway so you’re no better off.

Nothing to bite at mate, there is genuinely a change to operator licence fees from the 1st of April this year but as I said they’re only abolishing per vehicle fees and not the main fees.

It,s true about the "O"licence I have just recieved my rebate today,
that nice man at vosa sent me a cheque made out to me personally
now I must wrestle with my concience as to whether I spend it
re-invest this massive windfall (£120) back into my business.
