Ferries to Spain

whats the cheapest/ better one ? Plymouth - Santander , Portsmouth - Santander /Bilbao ?

would you go direct into Spain or go via, say St Malo / Cherbourg / Caen ?

Are you now forced to use the toll roads in France now for an artic ?

thanks.

depends on a few decisive factors

is time a problem ?
is cost a problem ?
where is your loading point ?
where is your unloading point ?

can´t give much advice with out the necessary info can we ?

one off job in Jan to Alicante, not 100 % confirmed yet.

Time is not an issue but obviously cost is. Loading in Swindon, Uk , tip Alicante. Not sorted reload yet.
Whats that time of yer like for loads for Fridges?

Forget Santander then as you will have to either cut through hills to go via Burgos and Madrid to get to Alicante or drive an hour back to Bilbao to go via Teruel,.
Your best options are either Cherbourg or Bilbao depending on the rates and discounts from the ferry companies.
January you should just about be ok for the last of the oranges or lemons as a back load or look for a load wine going back up via Holland as there will be a very big tax rise on wine in Holland as of April so there will be stacks of loads going up that way and then get a load from there or Belgium back to the UK

Much appreciated Vasco, great help there.

Thanks again.
