FAILED...

Failed my c&e yesterday   11minors and 2 serious faults which
were…locking up the trailer wheels on the controlled stop…and I hit a
branch that was hanging down from some tree’s, which to be honest
I did’nt even see… no damage was caused but the examiner
put it down for " planning and awareness" but no complaints from
me.

Starting the test I was a bag of nerves, which could explain me
jumping on the brakes for the controlled stop. Then the tree
incident which was about 5 minutes into the test, after that I
settled down and it did’nt go too bad after that .

Although I failed the test, the examiner give me some encourageing
comments about my drive so I’ll try and be positive about it all,
Hope to take a re-test in the next month or two.

Sorry to hear that!
Nerves have a lot to answer for!!
I failed my first C+E on a over hanging branch!!

I really hope you get it next time!

sorry that you failed - stick with it - especially as the examiner gave you good advice - nerves got me last year when i failed my c+e - but will retake soon having learnt from the experiance

I wouldn’t be too stressed re failing I failed my first test on the artics. the second test is much better way less nerves. and much better concentration.
get back on that horse. the best feeling is your first drive by your self. well worth the stress and effort.
cheers

Sorry to hear you did not pass
this time :frowning: . Good luck with
the retest

I failed me C+E twice and passed with flying colours on third go so I know how you feel my advice is get back in asap and retest and treat your last test as a mock exam stay calm and take your time and you will be ok it worked for me just remember to take your time! GOOD LUCK

Better luck next time
I managed to get tangled up in some foliage on a private estate drive and it dragged the main nearside mirror round and smashed it on the kerb mirror, nearly filled me kecks  I was only doing about 5mph, honest. Big lesson learned.

Thanks for the messages of support… I’ve just booked up for my

re-test in July, hopefully I’ll learn from my mistakes and with a bit

of luck I’ll get the right result next time…
