Experience vs Licence Held!

Just a thought to new drivers applying for their first job.
When asked how much experience you have in months why not
try saying how long you have held your licence for.
As i am trying for c1 i have,nt driven c2 but i have held a c2
licence since last june ie 7 months.
So i have 7 months c2 experience!
Am not trying to rewrite the rules so i would welcome
comments good or bad.

My first question would be:-

What did you do in that 7 months?

I would not lie like that and get caught out having to come clean or lie further. Much safer and respectful to say license held for 7 months and then expand if asked.

Sounds good to me Wiretwister. S-t-r-e-t-c-h ing the truth is one thing, lying (and being caught out so very easily), is another. Better to tell the truth than get fired 5 mins after you start. Word gets around surprisingly quickly. :astonished:

Thanks for your replies.
Thinking about what you said does make sense.
I think i was showing my sympathies to those new drivers
who having spent hundreds of pounds learning to drive
c1 and c2 to join an industry where there is a nationwide
shortage find themselves unable to get that first job.
My instructor always said to me:
You are not learning to drive, you are upgrading your
licence to drive a different type of vehicle.
