Do you have your winter gear ready?

This guy for sure prepared his Lada for a winter well

Actually this is quite smart solution  They should do them for trucks

“In soviet russia it’s not you who trannsports the trailer, it’s a trailer who transports you”

I pray to almighty god to go easy on us this year. Last year was hell on earth first time in my life ive spent 14hrs on the same spot of a motorway.

My depot is never ready for winter every other depot in the north has built up a massive stockpile of grit we have 2 tiny pallets :unamused: Other depots have priced up plough attachments for terberg we have price up an extra shovel :unamused:

I must have dug about 5-6 tons of snow last year, woke up outside sainbury’s in Stirling took me 3 hrs to dig myself out.

My drive axle tyres have all got pish tread cant even grip in light rain never in snow, god frigin help me.

You know these skivers that play the stress card we’ve got one in our transport office well i think im going play this card aswell

dear santa, please can we have LOTS of snow and can i have a snow foot car. pleeeeeeeese!

want one, looks fun

I’ve got less than 3mm on steer tyres fitted to the o/s drive, they slip in the wet, ATS say Travis won’t let them be changed till limit. Guess who’ll be calling a wrecker to dig me out this winter, and after the debacle on paying for a shovel a couple of winters ago, Mine now stays in the car!

Well, I love winter. I am up to my tire guy this week to replace my old summer tires with all season ones…

give me one of these for the snow please

Why bother with this swiss toys, go XXL:

But I think this will be better for the winter:

hmmm you reminded me of something else russian, looking for it :stuck_out_tongue:

Old story, they use that system for years

youtube.com/watch?v=6o97VLz1 … re=related and here you have the test: your amphibious vehicle vs that swiss toy. Watch it before you make your choice

tracks will always be better than tyres, just think about the surface area :stuck_out_tongue:

Hi all.Not to appear to be nit picking but Hägglunds ab is aSwedish company, not Swiss. They specialise in tracked vehicles for the forestry and military[we have one at my company for clearing snowmobile trails].They are now part of the Bofors,Saab group. They have about 100 of them at the NATO base in Bardufoss Norway, where they run the winter warfare exercises in Finnmark.Mike

You are off course right, my mistake.

Our own snowplough dragged into the workshop for check over, scorpion snow and ice tyres on the 4x4.

FedEx Gretna have a salt spreader and a telehandler with a snowblade sitting ready to go. Most of the units have nice chunky tyres fitted on the drive axle

Reading the above seems I’ve gone & sold this:

just at the wrong time then.

The only winter gear I have is a pair of gloves and a pair of boots so I don’t slip on my arse (Or try not to at least  ) and my hands don’t freeze off if I chuck a snowball at somebody :smiling_imp: :smiling_imp:

Can’t say the cold weather bothers me, I don’t own a jacket nor do I own a wooly hat :grimacing: Bring on the winter i say :grimacing:

Cheers
