Might as well fit an electric boiler at least it will actually heat the place for the money.
Or a solid fuel boiler and look for ways of dodging any ‘carbon’ taxes.Obviously none on biomass wood chip which is what the electric captive market scammers are burning anyway.
Gas will only get significantly more expensive because of the carbon tax levies, of which you’ve sated yourself.
All that so that the exempt ‘developing’ south east asian countries can burn it all instead.

The whole scam is just based on massive increases in energy costs for consumers and profits for scammers creating a captive market for electric, without a corresponding increase in incomes to pay for it.
