I can rember those amos mear 8 leggers.My dad drove for charringtons solid fuel from around 83 i think. I can rember going to the nottinghamshire coal pits gedling, bolsover and askham.Spellings proburally wrong.Was great in my school holidays but the miners strike put a stop to those runs.I will try to find some pics of my dads old leyland scammel constructor :laughing: .Any pics of john whitrods fleet from sturmer suffolk he use to cart coal too and john marshall from wickhambrook,suffolk too.

I do like to see ‘greedy boards’, vastly under-used nowadays.
