M6 A very lucky Professional Driver

Embarrassing, one of the comments, ffs, I left at 05.15, heading for Manchester, M40 from Banbury the warnings were on the gantries, most drivers now have sat nav’s with traffic updates, but you have to think further, other drivers are getting the same information, so don’t follow blindly take a wider diversion, don’t just follow the sat nav and blindly join the queues in the diversions. So like below, expects it all to be displayed on route how to get round the closure, your supposed to be professional, you shouldn’t have to expect someone to hold your hand and think for you.

I just carried up the M40, M42 North, M1, A50, bit sticky round Stoke, cost me 45 minutes.

BBC News
Lorry driver Shane ******* is among many who have complained about a lack of warning about the closure of the M6 today.

He says he set off from Wiltshire at 04:15 on the way to Runcorn and, although there were signs, to him they lacked any information about the incident or how to avoid it.
