1 realy lucky driver!

The father-of-two remained conscious long enough to telephone his disbelieving boss to say: “I’ve had a bit of an accident.”

Deffo a ‘WELL BOSS’ moment !!!

Glad all turned out OK

PS - I thought I’d heard ALL the stories about the POLES  before but…

It happened in August 2008. Now he is starting his compo claim.

Lucky guy :open_mouth: :open_mouth: :open_mouth:

But he aint a trucker, looks like a flatbed van to me :sunglasses:

Whats with the grumps or should it be gramps at my age hahaha

The conversation i would want to be around for is the one when they tell him(the boss) his van is a cabriolet now !
glad the guy is fine now , bet one hell off a fright !

hiya,
Was an HGV 1 until retirement then drove a Transit flatbed for a pal of mine himself a former HGV 1 driver and i was earning per cent more money than i ever got for driving “big stuff” how does anybody know the the poor injured guy was’nt a big stuff driver doing a bit of a favour for a pal, and because he was only driving a little un does he not qualify for a bit of sympathy and good wishes.
thaks harry long retired.

He could have been an agency driver. I know i used to do a bit of Van work when there wasnt any truck work going at my agency i worked for. Even better was that the agency i worked for would pay me class 1 rate for doing van driving

The phrase “wrong end of the stick” springs to mind. :unamused:
