Now then Lads you have got to understand that “H” was what would be termed to-day “An organic Driver” in that he believed in letting Mother nature wash the outside of his motor i.e. depending on it pishing down regularly but as long as he always had some decent windscreen wipers he was sound ! and if the [zb] got too deep on the cab well he used plant a row of tatties and some runner beans. Oh! and “H” thought that a hose pipe was for “colonic irrigation” well that’s what he told his Boss it was for

Well Dennis your nearly correct going home time was designed for just that,
and your nearly correct about thinking the hose was only to be used doing a
spot of colonic irrigation and if he pressured me enough I would most likely
help with the operation by placing the hose where it would do most good.
