Stonefield were built or had some tie in with Volvo Ailsa trucks IIRC. We had 2 where i served my time, they were 4x4 design for off road use the one in the picture was being used the same as ours for pulling drillings rigs for sampling. They were a desaign to compete with the likes of Unimog and Land Rover. The engine was the V6 Ford Essex 3.0 petrol engine from out of the Granadas etc.
with an auto matic gearbox. I think a few fire brigades around the country bought some for more remote areas.
