MFS ran several P112s Dennis and it was surprising how some were better than others. :unamused:
Two photos,one of Fleet 404 UWJ 494Y which was the 100th Scania MFS bought for the Littlewoods contract and yours truly in fleet 405 UWJ 595Y when on a Carlisle trunk.405 was far superior to 404,a lovely wagon. :smiley:

Is that the same family as the Edmundson from Preston Paul? If so,they were taken over by Manx Independent Carriers.

No Chris you are thinking of Edmundson Haulage which is a wholly owned subsidiary of Manx Independent Carriers.

Edmundson Haulage were the longest established haulier serving the Isle of Man being formed in 1936 with Manx Independent Carriers buying the company from John Edmundson in 2001.
They are now based just off Prescot Road on the East Pimbo Estate Skelmersdale.
All the pictures above were all sent to me a while back from managing director John Quaye who also sent me this shot below of one of their MAN tractor units and trailers coming off the ferry at Douglas on the Isle of Man.
