Let the fun times begin

Hi,

I went and did my theory test today and passed.
I got 35 out of 35 for questions and I got 51 out of
75 for hazard clips as I got a zero on 1 of the clips
for frequently clicking on 1 hazard about 7 clicks.
When I got back home I booked my driving assessment for
Saturday. I will be doing my training hourly as I don’t
have many holidays left. I will keep posting my progress.
any things to lurn for the test like other then Krankee’s
SHOW ME, TELL ME Question Combinations (& Answers).

Hi,

scott79 when I phoned Atlas she said you have
to have a minimum 2 hour booking which is £80 pound.
on this Saturday I am doing a 1 hour assessment which
should be £35 pound but she said I can have it
for £20 pound. I was going to try radleys but could not
get in touch with him as he is supposed to be
good but charges £45 pound an hour I have heard.
Atlas as about 7 class 2 one as 2 axles and looks really
big also there tuition is one to one and they have a reversing
area. I will post how I get on scott79 on Saturday night for you
and see what vehicles and instructors are like. thanks all for
your kind words and support.

convoy

thanks for the reply convoy, and the best of luck with your training!!

Well done Convoy. I failed my hazard awareness first time should have seen it as a sign of things to come . So I hope it is for you. I see Atlas wagons around quite often. I nearly went to them but went to L&T Transport near Wakefield in the end. Mostly because of the facilities and decent gear they had. They weren’t the cheapest but they very good.

Good luck with the training Convoy!

You should be OK with Atlas - my brother trained with them and got through both tests first time.

I see Atlas motors everyday as I work in Edlington. (If you see a white Merc Sprinter flash you, it’s me!)

Ex Tesco Scania 94 day cab (R Reg I think) with what looks to be about a 36ft tandem curtainsider - nice clean motor though.

Pity they put those stupid mini roundabouts at Five lanes End! Just makes the job awkward.

Hi,

knight I seen L&T Transport near Wakefield
they run all or mostly Mercedes don’t they?
I will look out for you killsville also agree
with you about those stupid mini roundabouts
at Five lanes End. I don’t know what they are
doing in other areas but Rotherham they making
roads tighter by altering the corners :imp: .
No problem scott79 have you chosen any training yet ?

Convoy
Yes they are all Mercs all white expcept for the yellow one which I passed my class two in. A good fleet.

The council must have some money left over from their annual budget. The roads are clogged up enough already and then they go and do daft things like put bollards in the middle of the road at bus stops so when a bus pulls up, everybody comes to a standstill.

They narrowed one of the junctions in Edlington and I’ve noticed this week that the new signs have been knocked over, probably by someone trying to turn round. I wouldn’t mind but it’s my council tax they’re wasting

I think they are making things worse
for large vehicles. A mate of mine said
who ever planed these changes is not
a driver and I think he might be Wright.
just listen to me going on and I am not
a lorry driver yet

Ah, but you will have to contend with these on your lessons. Just remember the mini roundabouts at one end of Edlington and Warmsworth traffic lights at the other. (let me know when you’ve turned left towards Rotherham in an artic! You will use ALL of the road)

Thats the council for you - they’d rather spend thousands putting flowerbeds on roundabouts than fixing some of those ■■■■ potholes.

I’m getting wound up now - back to the main topic. Let us know how your training goes!

killsville where is the left turn to rotherham
Warmsworth traffic lights. Is it heading
towards conisbrough and at the bottom of
that hill there is a garage on the right or
do you go through Edlington to the lights
at the top of the road  .
