Finally

Just to let you all know I took my Class 2 today at 2 pm
and passed first time with 5 minors. 2 for gears and 2 for
signalling and 1 for mirrors. Thank you to everyone who
helped me out as it was much appreciated   .

Woohoo! Well done!

Going for the C+E as soon as you get your licence back?

Paul

I think so repton as it will be still fresh in my head.
I will have to find some class 2 work why I am waiting
though. It is a little bit scary going from C to a C+E
Artic :open_mouth: though but its what I have always wanted. I
hope I can pick it up like I did with class 2.

Very Well Done convoy

Well done on your pass…

I actually find an artic easier to drive, trailer seems to follow you and a much better turning circle… It’s just that darn reversing, gets me every time

Excellent news, well done.

Well Done Convoy! Easy isn’t it!

I presume the training went OK with Atlas. Will you stay with them for your C+E?

I suppose you will be off out for a driving job now will you?

Let us know how you get on.

Cheers

KV

Big Congratulations Convoy. Well done  .

Well done you.

Well done mate, Good luck with the job hunt and get that C+e booked asap,

Nice one,

My Instructor said to me everyone as problems with
reversing on C+E steve_24v. I would not say it was
easy killsville but It was not as hard as I thought and
I did not let the examiner nerve me that much. I needed
to pass as gave my job up but I went with JayHoes
method in that if I don’t pass I will somehow rebook
for a second test. I also remembered what killsville
said that the examiner is not god as you have to be
dead to see god. So by JayHoes and killsville
words helped me to relax( so thanks guys!) I will
stay with them killsville as from day 1 I wanted to
drive that scania and curtainsider. I am going to
look for work tomorrow by phoning firms and
If I have no luck there I will sign up with agencies.
Thanks again for all the help of trucknets members
and support  .

Glad to hear our advice was of use - I hate being wrong!

Have you thought of trying Polypipe for work. I’m sure they take on new drivers and they do now run quite a few rigids. They are always short of drivers. (They don’t like using agency since they had a wagon turned over under the bridge at the bottom end of Broomhouse Lane!)

I can get the Transport Managers name and number for you if you are interested. Let me know.

Well done convoy! Great news!

Well done convoy

Well done Convoy I’m impressed  I agree with Steve much prefer drivng an artic so go for it as soon as you can. As for getting a job try Price Express Transport in Sheffield as they do take on inexperienced drivers. I know as they took me on and I’m still there, it’s a bit slack at the moment but it’s worth a try.
The number is 01142900500

Well done Convoy,

I agree that doing your CE sooner rather than later is a good idea. Get stuck in while all that ‘attention to detail’ is fresh in your mind and you haven’t developed the bad habits that we all have!!

well done m8,hope you get the job you want
