C + e traning booked looking for advice

Hi new to this group looking for some advice i have recently passed my class two and thought it would be a good idea to book my class one looking for some advice on driving a class one is it the same same as the class two etc i an always quite nervous about doing the training and the test any advice would be greatly appreciated

EXACTLY the same as driving a fiesta nothing to worry about.

Seriously though its almost the same as driving a rigid. Reversing don’t worry about it
if you have a decent instructor it will be a breeze.
As for going forward you watch your rear wheels going around corners just like on a rigid. Best to do this early on to learn when they cut in. Apart from that keep an eye on the headboard of the trailer with tight turns it can potentially get dinged.

The biggest issue you will have will be adjusting to the size of it. Again don’t worry about this. You wont get comfortable with the size of it until you actually start driving them for a few weeks as a job. (In my case anyway)

Ask for an early test so you don’t stew all day getting more and more nervous
my retest is 8:40am tomorrow morning , 1st test was 1:40pm on a Friday afternoon and I was awake at 4am :open_mouth: so was a bundle of nerves by test time :frowning:

How was driving a class one compared to the class teo? Good lick for tomorrow

Did you do the road drive for practice as you paid for that

Yeah i did it since i paid for it only got 1 miror

That’s gutting - Sorry to hear that

I bugger it from the start i think i put the left on too quickly and the headboad was too dar over the yellow line so i took a shunt drove it near cone b and got basically in the same position

No problem with the headboard going over the yellow line. It’s the tyres that cant.

Better luck next time, Pete

The headboard was over that much i couldnt get it stright and would off hit the middle cone

Ah, that makes sense.
