Anyone drive along the M74/M73 last few months since the new £500m motorway they have removed all the speed cams why? People are now driving 70-90 mph rather than 50 however the signs or 50 are still their?
Thats because the roadworks have finished only 50 zone is now the old a8 running along side new m8.
If they are anything like the M62 “Smart motorway” well the cams are still there on the overhead stantions. If the speed limits up at 60 the cam will pick up anyone speeding. I travel every morning at 6am between bradford and leeds and its not too busy but they put the 60 limit up and anyone speeding cops for it. They drop it down to 40 sometimes causing havoc when there`s no need for it . In the winter months you can see the cams flash on the other carriageway in the dark when someones been caught. I suppose someones got to pay for the “upgrades”

Majority of drivers driving at 80 mph while safe drivers at 70 mph you drive in the middle lane at 50 mph and you will get daggers and horn beeps maybe even water thrown at you for going slow!
