has anyone worked or working for prestons of potto out of knottingley,if so whats rates please on nights and whats the job like?
Looking for class 1 night work at the moment if anyone knows who,s setting on around the castleford pontefract wakefield and surrounding areas
I applied for maritime out of leeds on the 4 on/4off shift pattern but never heard anything back and bibbys normanton but seems firms never get back to you these days

i worked for prestons up until january,
as far as i know,the rate for nights is £10 an hour or near enough.
the work is easy enough mainly trunking runs to st neots and back trailer swaps to stockton/potto and maybe in and out of coca cola etc.
all curtainsider work
working for prestons wont make you rich,but they are an extremely easy firm to work for,the kit is decent enough and they will never ask to much of you

Spot on…
I drove for them on nights and it was Coca-Cola from J41 to Edmonton and back again or a local tip/collection and then swap at St Neots. You won’t get bothered by stupid phone calls on nights because there’s no one manning any planning hub or owt silly like that. Just get on with what you’ve been listed to do.
If they’ve been doing the same work for a long period of time, they are a steady outfit.
The kit was adequate but, the Knottingley yard left a lot to be desired.
