There’s maybe something in that.
They say about trucks holding up cars, why do ‘they’ consider car journeys more important than truck journeys, and what about us being held up by cars lane hogging, and sitting at 40 in a 50 contraflow.

Why not make it a 3 lane motorway ? its a joke all the cash they are throwing at smart motorways and a main route into the south
is still 2 lanes.

The M11 was built…

To service Stanstead, that’s why it’s 3 lanes up to that point. The sections after that were nothing more than an afterthought. Short-sighted 70s government planning saved cash by building this and the M42 as little more than dual carriageways.

It’s yet another sticking plaster on a project that needs ripping up and making into 4 lanes.

This is last not even one day, unless its enforced by camera’s and/or the police. Do you really think some box jockey is going to sit behind some supermarket plodder at 50?

Germany is a laughing stock now no overtaking on 3 lane autobahns, viaducts with 60km/h speed limits on them prior to a steep climb lucky to average 70km/h on the autobahns, makes the M25 look like a free flowing utopia

Absolutely! It’s the only reason it’s happening.

Read on the net somewhere else that you’ll be getting cut up more often too…

A line of trucks passing an exit, the car on the outside cuts in, and / or takes off your bumper (that even includes the safe gaps between trucks)…

Dash cams at the ready anyone…?

Then, cars wanting to enter the carriageway - CAN’T, due to the solid steady line of trucks that CAN’T pull out into other lane(s) to let them enter the motorway…

Can’t really say you should ‘brake’ either, to let them on or off the carriageway, as I bet it’ll cause even more problems further back / line of trucks…?
