Not sure why it’s so outlandish… I got £20/hour for my last shift. And that’s for two shifts a week. And they can’t get enough drivers to do it. No ADR. No 5 years experience. No specialist skills. Simply an artic driver - and someone willing to work at night and pull a few cages. Is only for 2 nights out of 5 though - and is the Ltd rate.I think it’s good money for relatively easy work.
Nights, Sunday , Ltd rate… Anyway, the ad says operatives can expect £25 per hour. I
m not a native English speaker but isn
t there a difference between expecting and getting something?
They might just be trying to use some fancy English, like “The remuneration package you can expect will include hi viz jacket”, but just not quite getting it right.
