West Cumberland Farmers Yorkshire Haulage

F86/20.5 ton dry animal feed tanker/ this truck averaged 4 loads a day 5 days a week on days and ran up to Scotland 6 nights a week for 4 years and never once let us down on the road, highest earning truck on the YHU fleet with only 2 drivers.

Discharging 20Tons of broiler feed at Pickering Nth Yorks.

At the Great Yorkshire Show Harrogate on the WCF stand (Not sure about the year but about 1979/80) Driver yorkyjoy.

This truck took over from GAO 432N but was never any good, broke down most days with something.Only had it 2 weeks and the back axle disintegrated had to have a new one.Could not send it to Scotland at night because it was to unreliable so the had to send one of the F7 tractor units instead.

This photo is taken at Mr Peels farm near Harrogate which is better known as (Emmerdale Farm) as seen on ITV 1.WCF used to deliver there most weeks with either bags or bulk animal feed.Driven this day by yorkyjoy.

Nice pictures yorky.
None of t’Dingles about when you were tipping then?
Probably all in t’Woolpack.

Not as I watch Emmerdale… :unamused:

Got there some days and had to wait till they finished filming, never saw t’Dingles as they were always in t’Woolpack

ORM 20M, Picture taken about 1974 just before it was moved down to the Yorkshire Haulage Unit at Selby.
At 32tons GVW it could only carry 18.50tons so it was replaced with GAO 432N Volvo F86 Unit that could carry 20.25tons at the same gross weight.
