"We should be more like the French", reloaded!

The Brits not doing the same thing has little to do with spinless and more to do with selfishness.
As individuals we have much to lose and we only see the short term, we never see the long term and thus are too selfish to act…Dont think the Govt. dont know this!

We have tried to protest, look at the fuel protests, but the big difference is the suport of the nation wasn’t behind us unlike in France
According to the latest opinion polls, more than 70% of French people continue to support strike action. (taken from the link earlier in this thread)

When we had the fuel strikes on the first day the public supported us
on the 2nd day some fuel stations were running low, the public weren’t so happy
by the 3rd day there was open hostility against us
We are different to the French so we will never have the sort of support they get when striking.
On the other side of the coin, we (as truck drivers) earn more money, and can work more hours (or not) in the end we have more choice than them.
I would rather be British living as we do than French living like they do
