Voltage dropper

just passed my class 2 and doing my class 1 a week on monday but hoping to get a couple of runs next week (the place i did my training also runs an agency). do i need a voltage dropper for my tomtom 520 sat nav, and are there good and bad ones or are they all pretty much the same

The power lead for any Tom Tom will quite happily drop both 12 and 24 volts down to the voltage the unit needs, in fact I’m pretty sure it says on the lead that it works on both.

thanks coffeeholic…it does say on the lead, i just assumed that it would only be 12v
