My company has had some new Cartwright double deck trailers delivered, anyway these trailers have electric landing legs. I wonder why we have’nt had this kind of technology before on normal trailers or have we?

i believe the a supermarket use air operated ones, there was a post on here a few weeks back with a pic
They used to have air operated landing legs 40 years ago when I was a small boy, they were nowt but bothersome, especially in winter
Cant see why electric motors wont work though as long as they are kept greased up
Marks & Spencer had a batch of trailers which used to have electric landing legs, they were phased out about 5 years ago as the trailers were replaced.
Possible cost of replacing damaged legs might have been an issue.
